Nevada RainWave has proved immensely popular in Europe, and is now available in NZ. Developed over many years and extensively field tested, the RainWave is a clever piece of German Engineering.
The original design came from a German farmer looking for a better method of spreading slurry, than splash plates, which are now banned in Germany. His main objective was to achieve a wider spread, and larger droplets. He did this by using low pressure and an oscillating fan pattern.
Nutrients in effluent, especially nitrogen, are easily lost to the atmosphere with high pressure irrigation, wasting valuable fertiliser, and polluting the air. Nevada RainWave produces larger droplets that fall to the ground in a gentle fan pattern - minimising wind drift and evaporation.
Nevada RainWave is a good alternative to dribble bars and trailing shoes. There are no folding arms to worry about; no distributor pump; no small hose; no blockages - just fast, wide, accurate application. Spread width can be adjusted from 6 to 18mm, and the flow can be as much as 200m3/hr. The wide spread pattern allows for applications as low as 1mm, while keeping the speed to a safe range - less than 7kn/h. Thick slurry, up to 20% solids can be applied through the RainWave using a tanker or umbilical pumping system.
We welcome enquiries from existing Contractors, Farmers and Dealers, as these units will fit most makes and models of tankers.
Why Nevada RainWave?
Suits Tankers and umbilical pumping systems (100m3/h)
18m-wide spread. Low application depth (1-10mm)
